What are teeth implants? They represent substitutions for the natural root of the tooth and they are built in the jaw to serve as the carrier of the bridge or the crown. They are made of titanium and are fully bio compatible. They are an ideal option for the patients who are of good health but have lost their teeth nevertheless. The main advantage of the implant is that it fully replaces the lost natural tooth and that the neighboring teeth are not used as carriers as in the case with the bridges. In this way there is no harm done to the neighboring teeth because they don’t suffer at all.

In our dentist’s surgery the Ankylos type of implants are used as we consider them to be technologically the most advanced. The process of implanting takes a short time and is absolutely painless. After the intervention a period of 45 days to 6 months is needed for osteointegration or coalescence of the implant to the bone. If everything is normal the implants can be laden prosthetically by installing porcelain crowns at the end of this period.
